We’re looking for a Postdoctoral Fellow or Research Specialist to join our group at Harvard Medical School (HMS) and Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH), co-supervised by Dr. Jie Yang, FAMIA (assistant professor at BWH and Harvard Medical School) and Dr. Josh Lin (associate professor at BWH and Harvard Medical School).

If you’re into large language models, natural language processing, and using AI to make healthcare better—especially working with electronic health records (EHR) and insurance claims—you’ll fit right in.

🧪 What you’ll work on

  • Building and evaluating LLMs in real-world medical settings
  • Research on LLM agents, clinical NLP, and medical reasoning
  • Collaborating with clinicians, data scientists, and ML folks
  • Publishing awesome papers with a great team

✅ What we’re looking for

Postdoc: PhD (or soon-to-be PhD) in NLP, ML, AI, Bioinformatics, or related fields
Research Specialist: Master’s or PhD in a similar field

You should have:

  • Experience with NLP and large language models (e.g., Transformers, LLM agents)
  • Solid Python skills and ML/NLP libraries (e.g., HuggingFace, PyTorch)
  • Team spirit and research curiosity

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with EHR or healthcare data (not required though)
  • Background in medical AI or clinical informatics
